સૂરતમાં વહેલી સવારે પાંચ વાગ્યાના અરસામાં સૂરતના પૂણા વિસ્તારમાં દિલ્હી અને સૂરત પોલીસ બેડાના આઇ.બી. ડિપાર્ટમેન્ટ અને રાજસ્થાન પોલીસે સંયુક્ત ઓપરેશન હાથ ધરીને બાળમજૂરી માટે ગોંધી રાખવામાં આવેલા 135 જેટલા બાળકોને છોડાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા. દિલ્હીના એક એન.જી.ઓ. જેનું નામ બચપન છે, એની ચોક્કસ બાતમીના આધારે દિલ્હી અને રાજસ્થાન પોલીસની ટીમો સૂરત આવી પહોંચી હતી અને બાળકોને બચાવવાનું અભિયાન હાથ ધરીને એક મસમોટા રેકેટનો પણ પર્દાફાશ કર્યો હતો. સવારે પાંચ વાગ્યાના અરસામાં બહુલ સૌરાષ્ટ્રવાસી વસતિ ધરાવતા સૂરત શહેરના પૂણા વિસ્તારમાં પોલીસને જોઇને લોકોમાં કંઇક અજુગતું થયાની ભીંતી પ્રવર્તી રહી હતી. જોકે, અફવાઓ ઉડે એ પહેલા સોશ્યલ મિડીયામાં માનવ તસ્કરી અંગેના સમાચારો વહેતા થયા હતા.
રાજસ્થાનથી માનવ તસ્કરી કરી સુરતમાં લવાયેલા 135થી વધુ બાળકોને ઘરમાંથી મુક્ત કરાવ્યા છે. પુણાની સીતારામ સોસાયટી પોલીસ છાવણીમાં ફેરવાઈ છે. બાળકો પાસે મજૂરી કામ કરાવવામાં આવતું હતું. આ બાળકોનો કબજો મેળવી પોલીસે આરોપી શખ્સો વિરૂદ્ધ વધુ કાર્યવાહી હાથ ધરી છે.

સૂરતમાં ફૂલીફાલી રહેલા ટેક્સટાઇલ ઉદ્યોગમાં હાલ સાડીઓ પર વેલ્યુ એડિશન કરાવવા માટે જરદોષી વર્ક, આર્ટીકલ સ્ટીચીંગ વગેરે કરાવવાનો ટ્રેન્ડ છે જેથી સાડીની કિંમત બેથી ત્રણ ઘણી વધી જાય છે. આ કામ માટે પ્રોફેશનલ કારીગરોનો ચાર્જ પણ તોતિંગ હોય છે એટલે કેટલાક જોબવર્કર્સ દ્વારા બાળમજૂરોનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે. બાળમજૂરો પાસે ટેક્સટાઇલમાં ખાસ કરીને સાડી અને ડ્રેસ મટિરીયલ પર વર્ક કરાવવામાં આવે છે. સાડીની વેલ્યુ વધારવા માટે ઓછા લેબર ચૂકવવા માટે બાળમજૂરી કરાવવામાં આવી રહી હતી. આ બાળકોને દિલ્હી, રાજસ્થાન, મધ્યપ્રદેશ વગેરે જેવા રાજ્યોમાંથી બાળમજૂરી માટે લવાયા હોવાનું કહેવાય છે.

માનવ તસ્કરી રેકેટનો સૌથી મોટા રેકેટનો પણ પર્દાફાશ થયો છે.
સુરતના પુણા વિસ્તારમાં આવેલ સીતારામ
સોસાયટીમાં સવારે પાંચ વાગ્યે દિલ્હી અને રાજસ્થાન પોલીસે સંયુક્ત ઓપરેશન હેઠળ
દરોડા પાડ્યા હતા. આ દરોડા બાદ સમગ્ર વિસ્તાર પોલીસ છાવણીમાં ફેરવાયો છે. આ
દરોડામાં સુરત પોલીસ અને સેન્ટ્રલ આઈબીની ટીમો પણ સાથે હતી.
સ્થાનિક લેબર વિભાગની જવાબદારી ફિક્સ કરવાનો વખત
સૂરતના ટેક્સટાઇલ ઉદ્યોગ સમેત એવા અનેક ધંધા રોજગાર છે જ્યાં દેખિતી રીતે જ બાળકો પાસેથી કામ લેવામાં આવે છે. ઓછો પગાર આપીને તેમનું શોષણ કરવામાં આવતું હોવાના પ્રથમદર્શી પુરાવાઓ જોવા જાણવા મળે છે આમ છતાં સૂરતના લેબર વિભાગ દ્વારા આંખ આડા કાન કરવામાં આવી રહ્યા છે. આ વિભાગ સામે હવે જવાબદારી ફિક્સ કરવાનો વખત આવી ચૂક્યો છે.
મહિલા સામેના ગુનાઓ આચર્યાના આરોપોવાળા કેસ જેઓ વિરુદ્ધ નોંધાયા છે તેવા અનેક સાંસદો/વિધાનસભ્યો છે. એક તરફ ન્યાયનો સિદ્ધાંત જણાવે છે કે જયાં સુધી આરોપ સાબિત ન થયો હોય ત્યાં સુધી જે તે આરોપી વ્યકિતને અપરાધી ન ઠરાવી શકાય. સાથે એક કડવું સત્ય એ ય છે કે બળાત્કારનો આરોપી કોઈ ચૂંટાયેલો લોકપ્રતિનિધિ હોય તે તેની તપાસપ્રક્રિયાને ચોકકસપણે પ્રભાવિત કરતો હોય છે.
બળાત્કારના આરોપી એવા 3 ઉમેદવારો 2019ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણીમાં સાંસદ બનવામાં તથા રાજયોની ચૂંટણીઓમાં આવા આરોપીસરના છ ઉમેદવાર વિધાનસભ્ય બનવામાં સફળ રહ્યા છે. ટૂંકમાં 76 જનપ્રતિનિધિઓ-18 સાંસદ અને 58 વિધાનસભ્યો-મહિલાઓ સામેના ગુના આચરવાના આરોપોનો સામનો કરી રહ્યા છે.
એસોસીએશન ફોર ડેમોક્રેટીક રીફોર્મ્સ (એડીઆર)ના રીપોર્ટ મુજબ છેલ્લા દસ વર્ષં (’10-’19) સાંસદો પરના મહિલા-અપરાધો સબબ નોંધાયેલા મામલામાં 8પ0 ટકા વધારો જોવા મળ્યો છે. લોકસભા ચૂંટણી દરમિયાન મહિલા અપરાધીઓના આરોપી ઉમેદવારોની સંખ્યામાં 231 ટકાનો વધારો થયો છે.
કુલ એવા 17 રાજકીય પક્ષો છે જેઓના સાંસદ કે વિધાનસભ્ય વિરુદ્ધ મહિલા સામે અપરાધ આચરવાના આરોપ નોંધાયા છે. તેમાં એસિડ વડે એટેક, બળાત્કાર, યૌન ઉત્પીડન, મહિલાઓને દેહવ્યાપારમાં ધકેલવાનો કે સગીરાઓની હેરાફેરીના આરોપસરના કેસોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. આવા કુલ આરોપીઓના પચાસ’ ટકા કોંગ્રેસ અને ભાજપના છે.
ક્રિકેટ કલબના ટેંટમાં રાત પસાર કરવાથી લઇને ગુજરાન ચલાવવા અર્થે પાણીપૂરી વેંચવા સુધીને સંઘર્ષમય સફર કાપનાર યશસ્વી જાયસ્વાલને તેના જન્મદિવસના 9 દિવસ પહેલા મોટી ભેટ મળી ચૂકી છે. તે 28 ડિસેમ્બરે 18 વર્ષનો થવાનો છે. મુંબઇના આ પ્રતિભાશાળી બેટધરને આઇપીએલની હરાજીમાં રાજસ્થાન રોયલ્સે 2.4 કરોડ રૂપિયાની કીંમત ચૂકવીને ખરીદ કર્યોં છે.’
યૂપીના ભદોહી સાથે નાતો ધરાવનાર યશસ્વીએ આ વર્ષે વિજય હઝારે વન ડે ટ્રોફીમાં ઝારખંડ વિરૂધ્ધ 1પ4 દડામાં 203 રનની તોફાની ઇનિંગ રમી હતી. આ સાથે તે પ્રથમ કક્ષાના મેચમાં ડબલ સેન્ચૂરી કરનારો સૌથી નાની વયનો ભારતીય ખેલાડી બની ગયો હતો. હવે આઇપીએલમાં 20 લાખની બેઝ પ્રાઇસ સામે તેને 2.4 કરોડનો જેકપોટ લાગ્યો છે. આ વિશે યશસ્વી જયસ્વાલ કહે છે કે હાલ તો મારા મગજમાં આઇપીએલ નથી. મારું પૂરું ધ્યાન અન્ડર-19 વર્લ્ડ કપમાં ભારત તરફથી શાનદાર દેખાવ કરવા પર છે. જેથી ભારત ચેમ્પિયન બને.
‘એક ભારત શ્રેષ્ઠ ભારત’ કાર્યક્રમમાં ભાગ લેનારાઓને મુસાફરી પાછળના ખર્ચમાં રાહત આપવાના હેતુથી રેલવે તંત્ર તેમને મુસાફરીના મૂળ ભાડાંમાં ૫૦ ટકા કન્શેસન આપશે. સેકન્ડ/સ્લીપર ક્લાસ સંબંધિત આ કન્શેસન એવા યુવા વર્ગને આપવામાં આવશે જેમની માસિક કમાણી અથવા પગાર ૫,૦૦૦ રૂપિયાથી વધુ ન હોય.
રેલવે મંત્રાલયના નિવેદનમાં એવું પણ જણાવાયું હતું કે આ કન્શેસન માત્ર સામાન્ય ટ્રેન સેવા માટે ખાસ સવલત તરીકે આપવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે. આ સુવિધા સ્પેશિયલ ટ્રેન કે સ્પેશિયલ કોચને લાગુ નહીં પડે.
‘એક ભારત શ્રેષ્ઠ ભારત’ ઉત્સવના સ્થળ સુધીના ૩૦૦ કિલોમીટરથી વધુ અંતરનો પ્રવાસ કરનારા યુવા વર્ગને રિટર્ન પ્રવાસ માટે પણ આ ક્ધસેશન આપવામાં આવશે. નિવેદનમાં જણાવાયું હતું કે ‘આ ક્ધસેશન વિવિધ રાજ્યોના માનવ સંશાધન વિકાસ ખાતાના સચિવ દ્વારા બહાર પાડવામાં આવતું રેલવે ફૉર્મેટવાળું સર્ટિફિકેટ રજૂ કરનારને આ ક્ધસેશન અપાશે.
કન્શેસન માટે અરજી કરનારે રેલવેના સત્તાધારી અધિકારીઓ જેમ કે ચીફ કમર્શિયલ મૅનેજર, ડિવિઝનલ કમર્શિયલ મૅનેજર વગેરેને સર્ટિફિકેટ સુપરત કરવાનું રહેશે અને એ તપાસીને આ અધિકારી કનસેશન ઑર્ડર બહાર પાડશે જે રજૂ કરવાથી અરજી કરનારને સ્ટેશન માસ્તર કન્શેસન આપશે.’
જે અરજી કરનારનો ખર્ચ કેન્દ્ર કે રાજ્ય સરકાર કે સ્થાનિક સરકારી સંસ્થા કે નગરપાલિકા કે સરકારી એકમ કે યુનિવર્સિટી ઉપાડતી હોય તેમને આ સર્ટિફિકેટ નહીં મળે.
CBSE સમેત રાજ્ય બોર્ડ પરીક્ષાના ટાઇમટેબલ જાહેર, ગુજરાત બોર્ડ હજું ફોર્મ ભરાવી રહ્યું છે
સેન્ટ્રલ બોર્ડ ફોર સેકન્ડરી એજ્યુકેશન દ્વારા આજરોજ તા.18મી ડિસેમ્બર 2019ના રોજ સીબીએસઇની દેશવ્યાપી ધોરણે તેમજ વિદેશોમાં લેવામાં આવનારી ધો.10, ધો.12ની પરીક્ષાઓના સમયપત્રકની આધિકારીક ઘોષણા કરવામાં આવી છે. સી.બી.એસ.ઇ. બોર્ડની ધો.10ની મુખ્ય વિષયની પરીક્ષાઓ તા.26મી ફેબ્રુઆરીથી જ્યારે ધો.12ની પરીક્ષા તા.27મી ફેબ્રુઆરી 2020થી શરૂ થશે. વિગતવાર સમયપત્રક અહીં પ્રસ્તુત છે.
એ ખાસ નોંધનીય છે કે સીબીએસઇ, મહારાષ્ટ્ર બોર્ડ, મધ્યપ્રદેશ ત્યાં સુધી કે ઉત્તર પ્રદેશ બોર્ડ દ્વારા પણ 2020ની બોર્ડની પરીક્ષાઓના સમયપત્રકનું એલાન કરી દેવામાં આવ્યું છે. પરંતુ, ગુજરાત બોર્ડ દ્વારા હજુ સુધી કોઇ એલાન કરવામાં આવ્યું નથી. ગુજરાત બોર્ડ દ્વારા હવે સમયપત્રકની ઘોષણા કરવામાં આવશે એમ મનાય છે. ગુજરાત બોર્ડ હજુ ફોર્મ ભરાવવાની પ્રક્રિયા કરાવી રહ્યું છે. હજુ તો ગુજકેટની પરીક્ષાના ફોર્મ ક્યારે ભરાવવામાં આવશે એ પણ નિયત નથી.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, released the CBSE Class 10th and Class 12th Board Exam 2020 date sheet on Board’s official portal. This year, the CBSE Board Exams 2020 will begin from February 15, 2020. The students can check their exam dates from the CBSE Board exam date sheet 2020 given below or visit the official website of the Board to check and download the date sheet for the board examinations 2020. As per the notification released by the CBSE Board, the exams for Class 10th main subjects will be held from February 26 to March 18 and the Class 12th examinations will be held from February 22 to March 30, 2020.
Last year, the Class 10th board exams were held from March 7 to 29, 2019, while the Class 12th board exams were conducted from March 2 to April 2, 2019.

Make your syllabus revision time table
Now that the CBSE Board Exam Date Sheet 2020 has been released, the students can plan their board examination time table accordingly. The students are advised to give equal time to all subjects to secure top ranks in exam. Also, complete the CBSE syllabus as most of the question asked in the examination are directly from the textbooks of the students. Exam Day Tips & Tricks
The CBSE will conduct the Board Exams in morning session i.e. from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM. The answer sheets will be distributed at 10.00 AM and the students will get question paper at 10.15 AM. The students are advised to utilize this 15 minutes to read the question paper carefully and prepare a plan on how to approach the paper. Mark the easiest questions and the ones you find difficult. Once the exam starts, begin with the easiest questions and then move forward with difficult ones. With this approach, you may save extra time for tough and long questions.
ગુજરાત ગૌણ સેવા પસંદગી મંડળ દ્વારા ૧૭ નવેમ્બરે ૨૦૧૯ના રોજ લેવાયેલી બિનસચિવાલય ક્લાર્કની ભરતી પરીક્ષામાં ગેરરીતિઓ થઇ હોવાનો આખરે સરકારે સ્વીકાર કરીને હવે આ પરીક્ષા નવેસરથી લેવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો છે.
કૉંગ્રેસે આ પરીક્ષામાં થયેલી ચોરીના સીસીટીવી કૂટેજ જાહેર કરીને આખી પરીક્ષા રદ કરવાની માગણી કર્યા બાદ યુવાનોએ ગાંધીનગર સહિતના સ્થળોએ દેખાવો અને ધરણાં કરીને આંદોલન શરૂ કર્યા બાદ સરકારે ગેરરીતિ સહિતના મુદ્દા માટે સીટની રચના કરીને તપાસ કરવાનું કામ સોપ્યું હતું.
16 ડિસેમ્બર 2019ને સોમવારે સીટના અહેવાલમાં પરીક્ષામાં ગેરરીતિ થઇ હોવાની બાબત બહાર આવી હતી. બિનસચિવાલય ક્લાર્કની ભરતી પરીક્ષામાં ગુજરાતના ત્રણ હજારથી વધુ કેન્દ્રો પર સાત લાખ જેટલાં ઉમેદવારોએ પરીક્ષા આપી હતી. ત્રીજી ડિસેમ્બરે આ પરીક્ષામાં ચોરી થઇ હોવાના પુરાવા સામે આવતાં ઉમેદવારોમાં રોષ ફાટી નીકળ્યો હતો અને પરીક્ષા રદ કરવાની માગ થઇ હતી.
ગૃહ રાજ્ય પ્રધાન પ્રદીપસિંહ જાડેજાએ એ અંગેની વિગત આપતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે, વિદ્યાર્થી આગેવાનોએ પુરાવારૂપે ૧૦ જેટલા મોબાઈલ, સીસીટીવી આપ્યા હતા, જેની લેબોરેટરી દ્વારા ચકાસણી કરવામાં આવી છે. સીસીટીવીમાં પરીક્ષાર્થીઓ એકબીજાને પૂછીને જવાબો લખતા જોવા મળ્યા હતા.
સીટના રિપોર્ટ આવ્યા બાદ એસઆઈટીએ મુખ્યમંત્રીને રિપોર્ટ સોંપ્યો હતો. ત્યાર બાદ આ પરીક્ષા રદ કરવાનો નિર્ણય કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. આ મામલે કુલ ચાર ફરિયાદ નોંધાઈ છે. દોષિતો સામે ફરિયાદ નોંધવામાં આવશે અને આરોપી ઉમેદવારો પર સરકારી પરીક્ષા આપવા પર ત્રણ વર્ષનો પ્રતિબંધ લગાવવામાં આવશે. તેમણે ઉમેદવારોએ આપેલી તમામ સીસીટીવી ફૂટેજ ક્લિપ ચકાસી હતી અને તેને સાચી પુરવાર કરવા માટે એફએસએલને પણ મોકલી હતી. આ તપાસ દરમિયાન વીડિયો ફૂટેજની ક્લિપ સાચી હોવાનું માલૂમ પડ્યું છે. તે સિવાય અમુક પરીક્ષા કેન્દ્રો પરથી કેટલાંક ઉમેદવારોએ વૉટ્સએપ મારફતે પ્રશ્ર્નપત્રનો ફોટો પાડીને અન્ય વ્યક્તિને મોકલ્યા હતા અને તે તસવીરો થોડી જ મિનિટોમાં વાઇરલ થઇ ગઇ હતી. એસઆઇટીએ આ બાબતની સચ્ચાઇ તપાસતા તે વાત પણ સાચી પડી હતી.
લંડનમાં યોજાયેલી મિસ વર્લ્ડ 2019 પ્રતિયોગિતામાં જમૈકાની ભારતીય મૂળની ટોની એન.િસંહનાં શિરે વિશ્વસુંદરીનો તાજ અલંકૃત થયો છે. વર્ષ 2018ની મિસ વર્લ્ડ વેનેસા પોન્સે તેનાં માથે તાજ પહેરાવ્યો હતો. આ વિશ્વ સુંદરી સ્પર્ધામાં દુનિયાભરની કુલ 120 સુંદરીઓએ ભાગ લીધો હતો. ટોની સિંહ જમૈકાની ચોથી મહિલા છે જેણે આ તાજ જીત્યો છે.
આ વર્ષે 2019માં મિસ યુનિવર્સ અને મિસ વર્લ્ડ બન્નેની વિજેતાઓ અશ્વેત રહી છે. આ પહેલા 8 ડિસેમ્બરે સાઉથ આફ્રિકાની 26 વર્ષની જોઝિબિની ટુંઝી મિસ યુનિવર્સ બની હતી. આ વર્ષ સુંદરતા જગતમાં ભારતની સુમન રાવે પણ દેશનું નામ રોશન કર્યુ છે. તે મિસ વર્લ્ડ સ્પર્ધામાં ત્રીજા સ્થાને રહી છે. બીજા ક્રમે મિસ ફ્રાન્સ ઓપેલી મેઝિનો આવી છે.’
ગુજરાતમાં ગૌણ સેવાની ભરતી પરીક્ષાનો હોબાળો હજુ શમ્યો નથી ત્યારે વધુ એક ભરતી પરીક્ષા રદ કરવામાં આવી હતી. સરકારી વીજ કંપની પીજીવીસીએલ, ડીજીવીસીએલ, એમજીવીસીએલ માટે ૧૫૦ એન્જિનિયરો અને ૭૦૦થી વધુ કલાર્કની પરીક્ષા રદ કરવામાં આવી હતી. આ પરીક્ષા રદ કરવા માટેનું કારણ આપ્યા વગર જ ભરતી રદ કરવામાં આવી હોવાનો માત્ર એક મેસેજ આપતા ઉમેદવારોમાં રોષ ફેલાઈ ગયો છે.
પશ્ચિમ ગુજરાત વીજ કંપની, દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત વીજ કંપની અને મધ્યગુજરાત વીજ કંપનીઓમાં કારકૂનોની ભરતી માટે ગત વર્ષ ૨૦૧૮ના જુલાઈ મહિનામાં રજિસ્ટ્રેશન કરાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા, જે માટે દરેક ઉમેદવારો પાસેથી ૫૦૦ રૂપિયા લીધા હતા. ભરતી રદ્ના મેસેજમાં તેવું પણ જણાવવામાં આવ્યું હતું કે, પરીક્ષા ફોર્મ સમયે ભરવામાં આવેલી ફીનું રિફન્ડ મળશે. આ અંગેની વધુ માહિતી માટે તમારે વેબસાઈટની મુલાકાત લેવાની રહેશે. થોડા જ સમયમાં આ અંગેની બીજી જાહેરાત પણ બહાર પાડવામાં આવશે.
રાજ્ય સરકાર દ્વારા આ ભરતી માટેની લાયકાત નક્કી કરવામાં આવી હતી, તેમાં ફેરફાર કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. જેના કારણે આ ભરતી પરીક્ષા રદ કરવામાં આવી છે. આ પરીક્ષા રદ કરવા પાછળ સરકારે આ કારણ આપ્યું છે. સરકારે ઈડબ્લ્યુએસના ક્વોટાના નિયમનું અમલીકરણ કરવાને કારણે પરીક્ષા રદ કરવામાં આવી હતી.
આપણું સૂરત બાળકો ગૂમ થઇ જવા બાબતે બીજા રાજ્યોમાં બદનામ થઇ રહ્યું છે

છાશવારે ઔદ્યોગિક વિકાસ, બિઝનેસ પેરામિટર્સ, ઓટોમોબાઇલ સેલિંગ વગેરે આર્થિક પરિબળોમાં સિદ્ધીઓ હાંસલ કરવાની વાતોનું ગૌરવ લઇ રહેલા સૂરતીઓ કદાચ એ વાત જાણતા નહીં હોય કે ગુજરાત અને ભારતમાં સૂરત એક સંવેદનશીલ મુદ્દા માટે બદનામ થઇ રહ્યું છે અને એ મુદ્દો છે બાળકો ગૂમ થઇ જવાનો. સૂરતમાંથી છેલ્લા પાંચ વર્ષમાં 3002 બાળકો ગૂમ થઇ ચૂક્યા છે અને આટલી મોટી સંખ્યામાં ગૂમ થયેલા બાળકોમાં મોટા ભાગના ગુજરાત બહારના રાજ્યોમાંથી રોજગારી અર્થે સૂરત આવેલા પરપ્રાંતિય પરિવારોના હોવાનું મનાય છે. આ જ કારણે સૂરત ભારતના અન્ય રાજ્યોમાં બાળકો ગૂમ થઇ જવા અંગે વગોવાય રહ્યું છે. મોટી સંખ્યામાં બાળકો ગૂમ થવાની ઘટનાને ખુદ રાજ્ય સરકારે સ્વીકારવું પડ્યું છે અને આ અંગેની સત્તાવાર માહિતી હાલ ચાલી રહેલા વિધાનસભા સત્રમાં આધિકારીક રીતે આપવી પડી છે.
આખી બે સ્કુલની વિદ્યાર્થી સંખ્યા જેટલા બાળકો પાંચ વર્ષમાં ગૂમ થઇ ગયા છે સૂરતમાંથી
સરકારના સત્તાવાર આંકડા મુજબ સૂરત શહેરમાંથી દર મહિને 10 વર્ષની વય સુધીના 50 બાળકો ગૂમ થઇ રહ્યા છે. યુનેસ્કો જેવી સંસ્થાના માપદંડો અનુસાર મહિને 50ની સરેરાશથી બાળકો ગૂમ થવા એ અત્યંત તપાસ માગી લે તેવી સમસ્યા કહેવાય. પણ સૂરત શહેરમાં જાણે કશું બન્યું ન હોય તેવો માહોલ છે.
છેલ્લાં પાંચ વર્ષ દરમિયાન ગુજરાતભરમાંથી કુલ ૧૬૬૨૦ બાળકો ગૂમ થયા હોવાનું આખરે વિધાનસભાના સત્ર દરમિયાન પુછાયેલા પ્રશ્નને પગલે બહાર આવ્યું છે. આ સત્તાવાર માહિતી ગઇ તા.૩૦મી જૂન ૨૦૧૯ સુધીની છે. સૌથી વધુ બાળકો સૂરત શહેરમાંથી ગૂમ થયા છે. ગુજરાતના બિઝનેસ સિટી અને દેશના ટેક્સટાઇલ સિટી ગણાતા સૂરત શહેરમાંથી છેલ્લા પાંચ વર્ષ દરમિયાન કુલ 3002 બાળકો ખોવાય ગયાના સત્તાવાર આંકડા પોલીસ ચોપડે નોંધાયા છે. આશ્ચર્ય તો એ થઇ રહ્યું છે કે ત્રણ-ત્રણ હજાર બાળકો ગૂમ થવા છતાં સૂરતના લોકોમાં કોઇ જ પ્રતિકાત્મક સ્થિતિ સર્જાઇ નથી. સંવેદનશીલ સમાજ હોય તો આટલી મોટી સંખ્યામાં બાળકો ગૂમ થવાની ઘટના બાદ લોકો રસ્તા પર આવી ગયા હોત.
મોટા ભાગના ગૂમ થયેલા બાળકો બીજા રાજ્યોમાંથી રોજગારી અર્થે આવેલા પરપ્રાંતિય પરિવારોના હોવાનું મનાય છે
મોટી અને અસામાન્ય બાબતમાં ગૂમ થયેલા બાળકોનું શું થયું એ બાબતે પણ રિપોર્ટ કરવાની દરકાર કોઇએ લીધી નથી. આ મુદ્દામાં એટલા વ્યાપક સવાલો અનુત્તર રહે છે કે ન પૂછો વાત, ગૂમ થયેલા બાળકોના માતાપિતા, વાલીઓ, પરિવારજનો પર શું વિત્યું હશે અને શું વીતી રહ્યું હશે, ગૂમ થયેલા બાળકો ક્યાં હશે, હયાત હશે કે કેમ આવા અનેક પ્રશ્નો ભલભલા કઠોર હ્રદયને પણ હચમચાવી મૂકે એવા છે પણ બિઝનેસ સિટી બનેલા સૂરતમાં હવે સંવેદનશીલતા ક્ષીણ થતી હોવાનું જણાય રહ્યું છે.
અમદાવાદમાંથી 2143 બાળકો પાંચ વર્ષમાં ગૂમ થયા
તાજેતરમાં મળેલી વિધાનસભા સત્રની ત્રણ દિવસની બેઠકમાં રજૂ કરાયેલી અતારાંકિત પ્રશ્નોત્તરીમાં લીંબડીના ધારાસભ્યો સોમાભાઈ કોળી પટેલ દ્વારા પૂછવામાં આવેલા એક પ્રશ્નના લેખિત જવાબમાં રાજ્ય સરકારે બાળકો ગૂમ થયા હોવાની વિગતો પૂરી પાડી હતી. જેમાં સુરતમાંથી ૩૦૦૨ બાળકો અને અમદાવાદમાંથી ૨૧૪૩, રાજકોટમાંથી ૪૯૮, જામનગરમાંથી ૩૦૩, ભાવનગરમાંથી ૪૫૫, પોરબંદરમાંથી ૧૧૮ અને કચ્છમાંથી ૨૪૮ બાળકો ગુમ થયા હોવાનો ઉલ્લેખ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

હાલમાં ધો.12માં અભ્યાસ કરી રહેલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે કારકિર્દી ઘડતરની એક પછી એક આકર્ષક તકોના દરવાજા ખૂલી રહ્યા છે. અહીં હું વાત કરી રહ્યો છું. ઇન્ડિયન એરફોર્સમાં એરમેન એટલેકે ભારતીય વાયુ સેનામાં વાયુ સૈનિક તરીકે ભરતી થવા અંગેની.
મિત્રો જીવનમાં ઇન્ડિયન એરફોર્સમાં જોડાવા માટેની તક એક વખત ઉપલબ્ધ થતી હોય છે અને એ ધો.12 પછી. ચાલુ વર્ષે ધો.12 સાયન્સ, કોમર્સ, આર્ટસમાં (અંગ્રેજી વિષય હોવો જરૂરી) અભ્યાસ કરી રહેલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે ઇન્ડિયન એરફોર્સમાં એરમેન (ભારતીય વાયુ સેનામાં વાયુ સૈનિક) બનવાની તક સામે આવીને ઉભી છે.
આપણે એ સમજી લેવાની જરૂર છે કે વિશ્વમાં સૌથી વધુ માન મરતબો જો કોઇનો વર્તાતો હોય તો એ સૈનિકોનો છે. કોઇપણ દેશમાં સૈનિકોને હાઇએસ્ટ રિસ્પેક્ટ અને હવે તો પગાર પણ સારો મળે છે. ઇન્ડિયન એરફોર્સમાં એરમેન એટલેકે વાયુ સૈનિક બનવું એ એક સ્ટેટસ ગણાય છે. ધો.12 પછી એરમેન બનવાની તક મળતી હોવા અંગે દેશભરના કરોડો વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પૈકી બહુ ઓછા લોકોને માહિતી મળતી હોય છે. આવા સંજોગોમાં સી.આઇ.એ. લાઇવ અને શિક્ષણ સર્વદા એવું માધ્યમ છે જે આપને આવી તકોથી માહિતગાર કરતું હોય છે.
ઇન્ડિયન એરફોર્સમાં એરમેન (વાયુ સૈનિક)ને સફળતાપૂર્વક પ્રવેશ પરીક્ષા, ટ્રેનિંગ, ફિઝિકલ એક્ઝામ તેમજ અન્ય ઔપચારિકતાઓ પૂરી કર્યા પછી સ્ટાર્ટીંગ પગાર રૂ.26 હજાર વત્તા મોંઘવારી ભથ્થુંથી લઇને રૂ.33000 વત્તા મોંઘવારી ભથ્થું અલગથી આપવામાં આવે છે.

INDIAN AIR FORCE AIRMEN TRADES AND DUTIES
On the basis of the performance in the Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at Basic Training Institute, Belgaum specific trades are allotted to the successful candidates. Basic combatant training is imparted to all the recruits, which includes basic discipline and manners, educational training, weapon training etc. After successful completion of basic training, you will be trained in specific trades. PT, Parade and games are integral part of the training and service life. Succeeding paragraphs give an idea of the nature of job an airman is expected to perform in different trades. However, depending on service requirement, an airman may be assigned other jobs as required by his superior authorities and exigencies of service.
Group X (technical)
Automobile Fitter:
In this trade you are responsible for maintenance and repair of all types of light and heavy duty mechanical vehicles, cranes and loading equipment etc.
Electronics Fitter:
As an Electronics Fitter you operate and maintain Radar, Voice and Data transmission and reception equipment mounted on latest airborne weapon delivery systems and ground based air defence systems. You will get trained in Digital Electronics, measuring instruments, radar technology, latest electronic devices and related trade fundamentals.
Electrical Fitter:
You will maintain power supply system of latest types of aircraft, airborne missiles and associated ground systems. You will also maintain photo equipment mounted on air borne weapon systems and operate ground basedphoto systems. You will get trained in electrical trade, operation and maintenance of digital devices, electronics devices etc.
Mechanical System Fitter:
You will repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of airborne missiles, engines, automobiles and aircraft fuelling equipment. Complete aircraft ground support equipment will also be repaired and maintained by you. You will be trained in handling and preparation of bombs and explosives and in electrical system, workshop and mechanical trades as well as automobile mechanics.
Structures Fitter:
As Structure Fitter, you are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of airframes and their accessories, components and controls of aircraft. Regular checks for the entire hydraulic and pneumatic system to ensure proper functioning against leaks are also part of your duties. You will also be assigned the responsibility of marshalling, parking, picketing and ground handling of aircraft.
Propulsion Fitter:
In this trade you will repair, maintain and prepare for use the propulsion system of aircraft and other airborne weapon delivery system.
Workshop Fitter(Smith):
You will undertake major structural repairs of all aircraft at central repair facilities. You will also be trained in workshop trade for material treatment, welding, heat treatment, smithy and basic machine tools etc.
Workshop Fitter (Mechanical):
You will undertake repair and maintenance work of mechanical nature. You will be trained in workshop trade and practices.
Weapon Fitter:
In this trade, you will prepare, maintain and service armaments, ammunition and safety equipment of aircraft, missiles and other weapon delivery systems. You will also operate and maintain small arms and bomb destruction equipment. You will be trained to handle bombs, explosives, arms and their installation on weapon delivery platforms.
Group X (non-technical)
Education Instructor: As an Education Instructor you will run training programme at instructional schools and improve education level of Air Force Personnel.
Group Y (technical)
Communication Technician:
As a Communication Technician you will operate, service and maintain all types of state of the art communication devices, telephone exchange and radio equipment
Automobile Technician:
As an Automobile Technician you will drive all types of light, medium and heavy automobiles, load carriers and specialist vehicles like cranes, towing tractors, fork lifters etc. subject to service exigencies. As a technician you will also carry out minor repairs, day to day maintenance and basic level servicing of the common user vehicles and specialist vehicles in the Indian Air Force inventory.
Group Y (non-technical)
Admin Assistant:
As an Admin Assistant you will maintain and analyse records, files and information of personnel. You will also manage ration supplies, cook houses and messes.
Accts Assistant:
As an Accounts Assistant you will record and manage accounting of pay and allowances, equipment, logistics transactions, public fund and cash flow etc
Medical Assistant:
You are made familiar with nursing and first-aid. You are also involved in management of medical stores, dispensaries and ward supervision.
Logistics Assistant:
As a Logistics Assistant, you are involved in the procurement, storage and handling inventory control as well as accounting of military stores.
Environment Support Services Assistant (ESSA):
This job involves maintenance of the firefighting section. It also requires that you ensure the upkeep of hygiene of Air Force Campus.
Ops Assistant:
As an Ops Assistant you will operate various systems of Air Traffic Control Centre, Air Field and Air Defence System. You will be trained in operation of Radars, Display Units, reporting and tracking procedures of airborne weapon systems etc
Meteorological Assistant:
If you are a Meteorological Assistant, you are trained to undertake weather observation and to maintain meteorological instruments. You are also responsible for plotting of charts, taking balloon observations and compilation of weather summaries.
Ground Training Assistant:
As a Ground Training Instructor, you will train personnel on drill, parade, handling of arms and physical exercise. You are also responsible for organizing and conducting all games and sports activities.
Indian Air Force (Police):
In the position of Indian Air Force (Police) your responsibilities involve assuming police duties and investigation of offences. You are also in-charge of maintenance of security.
Indian Air Force (Security):
As an Indian Air Force (Security) tradesman, you are to undertake special operations and carry out high level security operations.
Musician:
As a Musician you will become a part of the Air Force Band. You will be trained to play different musical instruments.

PAY
During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP) and Group ‘X’ Pay {applicable for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades only} plus Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows:
Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trade
Rs. 33,100/- per month (approximately) plus DA (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades
Rs. 26,900/- per month (approximately) plus DA (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
Education Instructor Trade (Sgt)
Rs. 40,600/- per month (approximately) plus DA (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual

CAREER PROGRESSION
The initial period of engagement in the IAF is 20 years, which can be extended up to the age of 57 years. Promotion prospects up to the rank of Master Warrant Officer exist to the deserving airmen. Opportunities to become a Commissioned Officer also exist for those airmen who qualify the prescribed examination, later in their service career.
